Active Tots
Fun, active play for children aged 2 to 4 years.
Active Tots gives young children the chance to move, play and learn alongside their parent or carer.
Each session includes music, movement, simple games and activities designed to support coordination, confidence and early development. Children can join in at their own pace in a friendly and welcoming environment.

What happens during a session?
Every session includes a mix of structured activities and opportunities for children to explore. Activities will change from week to week and may include:
- Action songs and music
- Movement and dance activities
- Balls, hoops, ribbons and sensory equipment
- Balance and coordination challenges
- Simple games with parents and carers
- Time to explore, play and meet other children
There is no pressure to complete every activity. Children can watch, explore and take part when they feel ready.
Led by experienced practitioners
Active Tots is led by a fully qualified teacher and early years practitioner.
Sessions are planned to provide a positive introduction to physical activity while supporting children’s confidence, coordination, communication and social development.
All activities are suitable for the age group and can be adapted to meet different needs.

Information for parents and carers
Do I stay during the session?
Yes. A parent or carer must stay and take part with their child throughout the session.
What should my child wear?
Comfortable clothing that allows them to move freely. No specialist clothing or equipment is needed.
Do we need to bring anything?
Please bring a drink for your child. All activity equipment is provided.
Does my child need to attend every week?
No. Places are booked weekly. You can choose the dates that suit your family. The more frequently your child attends, the more familiar and confident they become with the activities and fellow participants.
Is the venue accessible?
Yes. The Town Hall has an accessible entrance, accessible toilets, buggy storage and free onsite parking.
