Fun, active and affordable school holiday activities for young people aged 8 to 14. Our football and multi-sport camps give children a safe place to play, make friends, try new activities and enjoy healthy food.
Active school holidays for every family
School holidays can leave families facing higher costs, fewer activity choices and gaps in access to healthy food. Active Communities provides low-cost and funded holiday camps so more young people can stay active, spend time with friends and enjoy positive experiences during the holidays.
Our camps combine football, multi-sport games, challenges and team activities. Sessions are welcoming, active and designed around fun rather than ability.

Cost: From £12.50 per day, or HAF-funded
Helping close the holiday activity and food gap
Holiday programmes should be accessible to families regardless of income. We use funding, including the Holiday Activities and Food programme when available, to provide free places for eligible children.
HAF-funded days include an active programme and a healthy meal. Low-cost paid places are also offered so families who are not eligible for HAF can still take part. Funding, eligibility and booking routes may change each holiday, so check What’s On for the latest information.
Delivered with Harworth Colliery FC
We deliver our holiday camps in partnership with Harworth Colliery FC. The club provides a familiar local venue with outdoor playing space and facilities that support safe, active holiday provision.
This partnership keeps activities within the community and helps families access provision close to home.
What parents and carers need to know
- Ages and times are shown on each booking listing
- Children should wear comfortable clothing and suitable footwear
- Bring a drink
- Tell us about medical, dietary or additional support needs when booking
- Healthy food is included on selected funded days
- Outdoor activities may change in poor weather
- Places must be booked in advance
